YSA promotes its Championships, Winter Competition and Open Masters events each year.
The Championships Secretary is a volunteer post appointed by the YSA Board in July each year. The current post holder is retiring after many years service. This key post ideally needs an experienced Club Swim Meet Organiser to take on wider duties of processing swimmer entries from Clubs by using Sportsystems software, and managing the Events on the day at the pools in the County. All out-of-pocket expenses are fully funded by the Association, and any necessary equipment is provided. The list of duties are available here. The Trophy Controller is a further Board Appointment to this important volunteer post. This post is responsible for ordering Trophies and Pennants for all of the Meets across the disciplines organised by YSA, and arranging for them to be at the relevant pool for the event. This would suit a parent/carer of a current swimmer, who is likely to attend at the Pools anyway.
